The blower saved me again - One of the best investments I've made for the NASCAR Northwest Series car I drive is the blower system that I ordered from Fresh Air Systems Technologies.  We all know that you can't put a price on safety, and to me a fresh air system is just as important as your seat or seat belts.  The first race I used the system, at Phoenix for the Southwest Series season finale in October 2001 I noticed a difference right away.  The first thing FAST did was open up my helmet so that the air flowed 200% better than it does when you purchase it direct from Simpson.  The blower is surpassingly light and only took me about 15 minutes to install behind my seat and wire into my Longacre switch panel.  I've got a short length of brake ducting running from the blower to my left quarter panel window.  What a huge difference to just having your helmet hose hooked to the window alone!
The FAST system not only brings in air for you, but it's filtered.  Track-dry, brake dust and just all the fumes that a driver breathes in during a race are reduced to just about nill.  We don't run an alternator in our Port City car, and I can run the system the whole race because it draws so little amperage.
I believe in the FAST system, and the FAST people so much that I've gotten 4 other drivers on the Northwest Series to order systems of their own and I've gotten nothing but positive feedback.
If your having trouble keeping cool over the course of a race, or if carbon monoxide bothers you, a FAST air system is what you need.  A driver being cool and getting fresh filtered air is just as important as your seat.

What I think about my Fresh Air Systems - Vince Voisin
POWER BOATING Vince VoisinBeing fully enclosed in a powerboat with little ventilation it is very important that I get the necessary air to both my cockpit and my helmet. Fresh Air has been a great support getting me the correct fittings and hoses for my outfit. I am also excited about incorporating full cooling systems in the future. With cockpit temperatures over 135 degrees,
I know F.A.S.T is an advantage.

COOL ON THE GRID - Joe McCauley - 07/28/2002
Dan, I wanted to let you know how pleased I am with you F.A.S.T. Racer Series cool suit system. We just had our first race with the system. SCCA at Road Atlanta in July and yes it was HOT (near 100 degrees). Especially in a first-gen RX-7.  Nothing like the heat off a rotary to make a cockpit toasty. For the first time I actually enjoyed sitting on the grid waiting to get on the track. Your system is great.  It worked so well that I had to cycle it on and off to keep from getting to cold. One of your best features is the quick disconnects on the cooler.  It allowed us to dump and refill without dragging the hose out of the car.  The handle locking the cooler lid on was also a very good touch.  Thanks for a well designed and practical solution to a hot problem.

Help me get into the “zone” - Jay Allen - July 24, 2002
I first drove a dragster in 1996. Since then I have made hundreds of passes by letting go of the trans brake button and then flipping down the shield on my helmet. The shield would occasionally get forgotten until half-track. Early this year I purchased a reworked Simpson helmet and remote blower assembly from F.A.S.T. Now I close the shield before pre-stagging. The closed tinted shield and the airflow from the blower help me get into the “zone” easier. My mind is in an isolated cocoon with fewer distractions. The blower prevents the shield from fogging and keeps my head cooler.

With the help of my family I was fortunate to win two races in one day at Byron Dragway on July 6. We finished a postponed event from two weeks prior earning $5100. Then we won another eight rounds to pocket an additional $1000. That was a total of sixteen round wins in a row!
Our 7.9 second dragster has NHRA # 3496 and IHRA # KX96. It is a 1996 Racecraft powered by an alcohol injected 509 Chevrolet. We race ET Brackets at Byron Dragway and Route 66 Raceway. We are currently in twelfth place in Byron points and ninth place at Route 66. Our race team is named Allen Racing Enterprises and our web site is CantStealit.com.

Every driver should experience a FAST system. - Brook Weibley

Brook WeibleyEvery driver should experience a FAST system. Not only did it  cure the " fog-up" problem but is also provides comfort by reducing sweat in your eyes and dust blowing into helmet.

Many thanks to people at F.A.S.T. for your great products. We have run many night races with our Top Alcohol Dragster and your helmet conversion and blower have made it not only a more pleasurable ride but incredibly safer. I wear glasses and I remember many times staging the car with fogged up glasses and face shield. Your blower system eliminated fogged up lenses and also cooled things down in the heat of the summer. The sound of the blower is also soothing. I hate the thought of racing without using your blower system.
Sincerely,

Jill & Dan,
Thanks for making good on the problem blower. As I mentioned, I am your biggest fan! I run a Porsche Supercup car which is enclosed. There is virtually no air moving around inside the car. The helmet and vest systems do a wonderful job of keeping me fresh throughout the race. I just could not compete for any length of time without them. Definitely worth the money, and they will remain a part of my gear for the rest of my racing life.
Thanks,
Mike Trombly
